Refund Policy

Dr Tess of Beverly Hills/Virtual Concierge MD

Effective September 2, 2026 | Supersedes July 3, 2025

Overview

This is a cash-pay practice. Payment is due at the time of service. This policy explains when refunds are and are not available.

Healthcare services are excluded from the FTC's cooling-off rule. There is no automatic right to cancel a healthcare service, except as described here or as required by law.

Technical Failures

Our side — platform failure, physician connectivity, scheduling error: full refund or free reschedule, your choice.

Your side — your internet, your device, untested equipment: standard cancellation terms apply. We will always try to reschedule you.

Memberships

Membership months already begun are not refunded. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current paid month, and you keep access through that date. No cancellation fee. See our Subscription & Auto-Renewal Terms.

One-Time Services

The TessMD Metabolic Maintenance Transition ($499) is refundable in full if cancelled before the transition visit begins. Once the visit has occurred or labs have been ordered, it is not refundable.

Clinical Outcomes and Refunds

Fees are for physician evaluation, management, and professional time — not for a particular result.

The following are not grounds for refund, because the service you paid for was delivered:

  1. Dissatisfaction with the amount or rate of weight loss
  2. Dissatisfaction with how you feel following treatment
  3. A physician's clinical judgment that a requested medication is not appropriate for you
  4. A recommendation that differs from the treatment you came in seeking
  5. Side effects that were disclosed in your informed consent
  6. Weight regain after stopping medication
  7. Non-adherence to your treatment plan

Booking a consultation never guarantees a prescription. A visit that concludes with a recommendation against medication is a completed medical service.

This section does not limit your rights regarding billing errors, duplicate charges, services not provided, or technical failures on our end, and it does not limit any right you have under law or any claim regarding the quality of medical care.

Third-Party Purchases

Medications are billed by your pharmacy. Laboratory testing is billed by the laboratory. Supplements are sold through Fullscript and meal plans through LivingPlateRx. Refunds for those purchases are governed by those vendors' policies, not ours. We cannot refund a charge we did not collect.

Billing Errors and Duplicate Payments

Corrected promptly and refunded in full. Under California law, duplicate payments are refunded within 30 days of request, or within 90 days if we discover the duplicate ourselves. No request is needed for an obvious duplicate.

How to Request a Refund

Email: billing@virtualconciergemd.com

Phone: 1(310) 275-8377

Mail: 9663 Santa Monica Blvd, Suite 957, Beverly Hills, CA 90210

If You Disagree With Our Decision

Ask for review by the practice owner. You may also dispute a charge with your card issuer, or pursue any other remedy available to you. Nothing here waives your rights.

Good Faith Estimates

As a self-pay patient you are entitled to a written estimate of expected charges before scheduled services. If your bill is $400 or more above your estimate, you may dispute it. See our Good Faith Estimate Notice.
